DI-Africa, promoting modern and structured social dialogue in the Congo

By Yolande, Guyche and Cédric — DI-Africa Congo, Brazzaville Office · May 2026

In 2025, DI-Africa supported one of its clients in setting up an innovative employee consultation scheme, covering a workforce of over 300 staff. Thanks to an online voting system, all employees, including those working at remote sites, were able to participate in a simple, secure and transparent manner.

The process, including the counting of votes, was carried out within a framework approved by the Departmental Labour Directorate, ensuring the compliance and credibility of the procedure. This initiative demonstrates DI-Africa’s ability to offer solutions tailored to local operational realities, whilst boosting staff engagement.

As part of this ongoing initiative, DI-Africa visited the same client on 28 April 2026 to lead an awareness-raising session for employee representatives. Organised to mark World Day for Safety and Health at Work, this training session served to reiterate the fundamentals of social dialogue and clarify the role of these representatives within the company.

The discussions highlighted the importance of establishing clear channels of communication between employees and the employer, as well as of strengthening the representatives’ capacity to carry out their day-to-day duties.

DI-Africa would like to acknowledge the commitment of its staff and employee representatives, whose contributions are essential to the smooth running of operations and the continuous improvement of working conditions.

A long-term commitment to social dialogue

Through this type of support, DI-Africa reinforces its position as a trusted partner to businesses, combining innovation, compliance and a pragmatic approach. The aim is to foster effective social dialogue that is tailored to local challenges and drives collective performance.
