The Project

You will support one of Namibia's most exciting mining stories: the restart and expansion of a historic copper mine, with construction under way and first production targeted for Q4 2026. The operation is ramping up towards a doubled throughput of 60,000 tonnes per month, backed by substantial international investment — and it needs a world-class supply chain team to get there.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings, BOMs and technical documentation to verify procurement accuracy.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals against technical, quality and delivery benchmarks.
  • Build partnerships with OEMs and critical-equipment suppliers.
  • Lead technical procurement for plant upgrades and capital projects.
  • Coordinate across Engineering, Maintenance and Operations teams.
  • Contribute to cost-reduction initiatives without compromising technical integrity.
  • Manage QA/QC documentation: material certificates, ITPs, warranties.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 8 years in technical procurement within mining, oil & gas or heavy industry.
  • Deep knowledge of mining equipment and spare parts specifications (crushers, mills, pumps, conveyors).
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities; project management expertise.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluent professional English; based in or willing to relocate to the Erongo region.

What We Offer

  • A key role in a flagship copper project during its most decisive phase.
  • Competitive package aligned with senior mining supply chain benchmarks.
