CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
Our client is a leading engineering firm operating across Africa, specializing in providing expert management and consulting engineering services.
On behalf of our client, DI Africa is looking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a dynamic team at the Windhoek office.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Key performance areas
● Manage projects from design to completion.
● Prepare structural designs and contract documentation.
● Supervise construction and ensure compliance.
● Oversee project financial management.
● Develop and present project proposals.
● Allocate project resources.
● Liaise with clients and stakeholders.
● Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
● Work across multiple projects and teams with a proactive mindset.
● Apply high self-awareness to meet goals and uplift team performance.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
|
Education |
● B.Eng (Civil); M.Eng (Civil) an advantage. ● Registered, or eligible to register, with ECN and/or ECSA as a Professional Engineer. |
|
Experience |
● Minimum of 7 years' relevant technical experience. ● Supervisory experience an advantage. |
|
Technical skills |
● Strong alignment with the client's vision and core values is essential. ● Namibian citizenship will be an advantage. ● Valid Code B Driver's License. |

Tools |
● Microsoft Office ● Microsoft Project ● AutoCAD ● Prokon ● Revit |
|
Qualities |
● High moral and ethical values, including integrity, honesty, respect, hard work, accountability, and a supportive attitude. ● Proven team worker with a demonstrated ability to adapt to various roles as per project requirements. ● Excellent organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines. ● Professional communication skills, both written and verbal. |
